Implementation of contingency crop plan likely in 75 Talukas

Contingency crop planning for Kharif 2012 may cover around 75 talukas of Gujarat where total rain of monsoon so far has been lesser than 75 mm.
Talukas that receive less than 75 mm rain by 15 July are covered under contingency plan. Farmers in such areas are advised to cultivate short-term crops when rain suitable for sowing arrives.
Following is the list of talukas that have received less than 75 mm rain by 13 July.
Bhavnagar:Talaja, Mahuva, Gariadhar, Gadhda
Amreli:Vadia, Rajula, Khambha, Jafrabad, Bagasra
Junagadh:Una, Sutrapada, Manavdar, Kodinar, Keshod
Porbandar:Ranavav, Porbandar, Kutiana
Jamnagar:Khambhalia, Kalavad, Jodia, Jamnagar, Jamjodhpur, Dwarka, Dhrol, Bhanvad(all talukas barring one)
Rajkot: Jamkandorna, Malia miana, Morbi, Paddhari, Tankara
Surendranagar: Dasada, Dhrangadhra, Halvad, Muli, Sayla, Wadhvan
Bharuch: Valia, Jhagadia, Ankleshwar, Amod
Vadodara:Kwant, Dabhoi, Waghodia
Ahmedabad:Dascroi, Detroj, Bavla, Mandal, Barvala, Viramgam
Kutch: Abdasa, Anjar, Bhachau, Bhuj, Gandhidham, Lakhpat, Mandvi, Mundra, Nakhatrana, Rapar (all talukas)
Patan: Chasanma, Harij, Radhanpur, Sami, Santalpur
Banaskantha: Bhabhar, Deodar, Kankrej,Tharad, Wav
