Revolt in Junagadh Congress: Deputy Mayor Girish Kotecha to contest as independent

Junagadh Municipal Corporation(JMC)’s Deputy Mayor and Congress leader Girish Kotecha has filed nomination form to contest the Gujarat assembly poll from Junagadh seat as an independent candidate.
Congress party has allotted ticket to one Bhikhabhai Joshi.
Girish Kotecha and 24 Congress Councillors are opposing party’s this decision. They have already submitted their resignations before party president.
Junagadh is only Municipal Corporation ruled by Congress Mayor in Gujarat.
