Two ministers to explore Saurashtra to study water situation

Two Gujarat ministers Babubhai Bokhiria and Nanubhai Vanani will visit the districts of Saurashtra/Kutch region to hold meetings with the district administrations to discuss the issue of water availability and distribution in the next season of summer.
The monsoon 2012 was not so well in Saurashtra. Most of the dams of Saurashtra/Kutch have become cricket grounds. Before onset of Summer, the ministers will travel to various district headquarters and meet district collectors, district development officers and others to discuss micro level planing of water distribution. It is believed that the ministers will submit their report to cabinet in Gandhinagar.
Babubhai Bokhiria is a cabinet minister elected from Saurashtra. He is Water Resources and Water Supply Minister and his tour has been scheduled between February 7 to 9th.
