Christian lady held for vandalizing Hindu murtis in tribal Dang

A Christian lady has been arrested by police for vandalizing ancient Hindu murtis in Dang district of south Gujarat.
One Bhikhiben Motyabhai Pawar, who is converted Christian had vandalized murtis of Hindu god and goddesses in a temple in Khajurna village of Dang district.
According to local villagers, Bhikhiben’s late huband had built a temple. Bhikhiben’s husband and daughter are dead while his son lives outside the district. Bhikhiben has confessed her act of breaking murtis.
Under the guidance of district police chief Vinay Chaudhary, Ahwa Police station’s Police Sub Inspector Rameshbhai Thakor is investigating the case.
District police has taken proper steps to prevent backlash.
