Ahmedabad, 1 June 2013
Gujarat Parivartan Party(GPP) leader Gordhan Zadafia today addressed a press conference in Ahmedabad, and made allegation that the Gujarat govt has given Ahmedabad’s Abad dairy land to private company for construction of stadium at cheaper rate which has caused Rs. 1195.20 crore loss to state exchequer. Zadafia said the company that has been given land was established only in year 2008 and it had no prior experience to build any stadium. Zadafia said that against the opinion of Revenue department, Gujarat Industrial Development Board(GIDB) gave land of Abad dairy for one Rupee per square ft(Zadafia skips ‘per square’ ft for obvious reason). Zadafia questioned ‘sub-lease’ related decision of government in this issue. Zadafia said that government’s extra constitutional decision will be challenged in court.
