Ahmedabad to get a new garden, road side canopy programme on World Environment Day

The city of Ahmedabad will witness celebration of World Enviornment day with several events organized by number of groups.
The Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation(AMC) will on 5 June celebrate the World Enviornment day with opening of a new garden at Trust nagar near Ayojan Nagar next to the railway track in the morning at 8.00 am.
At 8.30 the AMC will open an exhibition of cotton bags as strong alternative to plastic bags at Narsimh Mehta Vastrapur lake garden.
At 9.00 pm, plantation of trees will take place as part of AMC’s road side canopy initiative. The programme has been organized on the road connecting Commerce college six roads to Navrangpura bus stand.
At 10.00 am,AMC will hold plantation event at Gujaratis school no.6 in Saijpur area.
