Opening of Kankaria multi-level automatic parking complex this Monday

Ahmedabad’s multi-level public parking facility, constructed in Kankaria will be inaugurated on Monday, 10 June.The parking complex has been constructed near the gate of Kankaria vyayam vidyalaya. A public meeting after inaugural event will be held at Balvantray hall, near Pushpakunj gate at 6.00 pm.
According to sources, 24-hour parking will cost Rs 250 per car. For a two-hour parking period a car owner will have to pay Rs 30 and a two-wheeler owner, Rs 6. The motorist gets the vehicle back in a maximum of three to four minutes.
The fully mechanized German facility worth Rs 19.98 crore will have seven parking levels with capacity to accommodate 250 cars apart from two-wheelers.One would need to park cars on a platform at the entrance and let the system do the rest of the job. Once done, the attendant hands over the car keys.
