Delegation of Indo- Canada Chambers of Commerce calls on Gujarat CM

A high level delegation of Indo-Canada Chambers of Commerce led by Mr. Patrick Brown, leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada today visited Gujarat Chief Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel at Gandhinagar.
The delegation is visiting Gujarat with a purpose of investment-development in energy, smart city, and infrastructure sectors of the state. The delegation heartily invited Mrs. Patel to attend the trade-industry festival, as a chief Guest, to be held at Ontario in June-2016.
CM briefed Mr. Brown and his delegation about transparent and convenient facilities being provided to industrialists and industries under the Ease of Doing Business. She added that Canada ranks third in the diamond Industry and in the same way Gujarat plays a major role in the country for diamond industry. 9 out of 10 diamonds in India are polished in Surat only.
She said that educational tie-ups between these two countries can broaden horizons of knowledge for the students of both countries. She appreciated Canada’s active participation in Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit-2015 and expresses her expectation that the Canada will participate again in next edition of the summit.
While lauded Gujarat’s infrastructure development and industry-friendly environment, Mr. Brown stated that Gujarati community has significantly contributed in hotel and trade industries of Canada. He also appreciated cultural richness of the state.
At the occasion, Chief Secretary of the state Mr. G.R.Aloriya, Chief Principal Secretary to CM Mr. Kailashnathan, Principal Secretary of Energy Mr. L. Chuango, Managing Director of G.I.D.C Mr. Manoj Agrawal, Industries Commissioner Mrs. Mamata Verma and leading industrialists of Indo-Canada Chambers of Commerce were remained present.
