Fast Track Immigration system at Ahmedabad Airport

Ahmedabad: Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, on a visit to his home state of Gujarat, inaugurated the ‘Fast Track Immigration – Trusted Traveller Program’ (FTI-TTP) at Ahmedabad Airport. He also launched the service for six other airports: Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kochi.

The Home Minister had previously introduced the FTI-TTP on June 22, 2024, at Terminal 3 of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI) in New Delhi.

This initiative aims to offer world-class immigration services, ensuring seamless and secure international travel. The program is currently available free of cost to Indian citizens and OCI cardholders.

The FTI-TTP is accessible through an online portal (https://ftittp.mha.gov.in). Applicants must register online by filling in their details and uploading necessary documents. Biometric data is collected either at the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) or during airport transit.

Enrolled travellers will use e-gates at immigration by scanning their boarding pass and passport, followed by biometric authentication. Once verified, the e-gates will open automatically, completing the immigration process.

FTI-TTP is being rolled out at 21 major airports nationwide. In its first phase, alongside Delhi, the facility is being introduced at seven key airports, including Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Kochi, and Ahmedabad. DehsGujarat
