LPG Tanker Carrying 4,000 MT Cargo Arrives at Porbandar Jetty Amid West Asia Crisis

Porbandar: Amid concerns over LPG supply disruptions and fears of shortages linked to global geopolitical tensions, cargo vessel C-MD 23, carrying 4,000 metric tonnes of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), arrived at Porbandar Jetty in Gujarat, bringing relief to supply authorities and consumers.

The arrival of the LPG shipment is being seen as a significant development at a time when international supply chains have been facing pressure due to ongoing global uncertainties. Officials expect the fresh stock to help ease supply concerns and improve LPG availability in the coming days.

According to details, C-MD 23, an international vessel transporting LPG, reached Porbandar Jetty with a consignment of 4,000 metric tonnes. Following the vessel’s arrival, port authorities and gas company officials immediately began the unloading process.

Officials said unloading operations are being carried out under strict safety protocols to ensure smooth handling of the shipment. Once the unloading process is completed at Porbandar, the vessel is scheduled to proceed to Oman.

Authorities are optimistic that the resumption of LPG supply through Gujarat’s maritime route will help stabilise distribution and prevent any major supply crunch affecting households and industries. More such shipments are expected to arrive at ports across the state in the coming days, which could further strengthen the fuel supply chain. DeshGujarat
