100 crocodiles of Vadodara’s Vishwamitri river will be relocated

Around 100 crocodiles will be taken out from the Vishwamitri river and shifted to the Aajva lake in Vadodara.
Vadodara Municipal Corporation has initiated Vishwamitri river cleaning project. In the course of this project, crocodiles in the river will have to be shifted.
In a meeting between Vadodara’s Mayor and local animal welfare volunteer organizations on Saturday it was decided that initially around 50 crocodiles will be shifted to Ajva lake while in second phase another 50 crocodiles will be shifted to an enclosure near the river bed. After completion of the river cleaning project all crocodiles would be brought back to the Vishwamitri river again where new crocodile park will be developed.
