In a high-level review meeting held to take stock of the swine flu situation in the state on Tuesday, it was decided that intensive care treatment (ICU) will be set up in all district-level hospitals. The meeting also decided that 50 ventilators will be urgently bought to upgrade facilities in district level hospitals to provide treatment to H1N1patients. It should be mentioned here that the H1N1patients who have a greater viral load suffer from respiratory complications. The ventilators come in handy to treat patients whose infection has affected the lungs and he/she develops breathing complications.
