Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate Rs 2.49 crore day care and basic facility for women centre, Environment and Pharmaceutical Chemistry building and Annexee building of education department in Surat’s Veer Narmad University campus today. He will also lay stone for proposed CB Patel stadium and cricket academy here.

Modi will then inaugurate Rs 44.24 crore Science Centre at 3 pm. The centre is located in Citylight area on 21,800 sq meter plot. The Chief Minister will spend about one hour here and watch the art gallery and auditorium.

At 4.15 pm the Chief Minister will open 6-floor newly built District Collector office building standing on 17325 sq meter plot. This building has 50 offices. It has been built at a cost of Rs 24.86 crore. The building will use solar power for power generation with 672 solar panels that produce 200 Watt power. The government of Gujarat has granted Rs 4.04 crore for this system. The project will save 86400 unit power.

Modi will then attend ground breaking ceremony of Lions Cancer Detection Center in Civil hospital campus. The center will be constructed on land given by the state government.

At 5.40 pm Modi will perform ground breaking ceremony of Rs 118 crore Surat-Navsari corridor BRTS project. At 5.55 pm he will address public meeting and perform ground breaking for Rs 25 crore Adajan flyover bridge, Rs 45 crore Delhi gate flyover bridge and Kapodra police station through remote control.

The Chief Minister will attend get-to-gather dinner hosted by South Gujarat Chambers of Commerce and Industries. Minister Mrs. Anandiben Patel will also join Mr. Modi and will remain present with him in this dinner function.
