According to reports coming in through Hyderabad Police sources, Viqaruddin, a terrorist arrested by Hyderabad Police has confessed during interrogation that last year(2009) he wanted to kill Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi and in one of the functions in Ahmedabad, he was very close. He also had minor weapon at that time.

Viqaruddin has reportedly confessed that when Ramol Police station’s inaugural function was held last year in Ahmedabad, he was present in same function to kill Narendra Modi using minor weapon. However looking at the National Security Guards and Modi’s tight security cover, he dropped his idea to kill Modi with minor weapon. He decided to get equipped with AK-47. He also managed to make an identity card of journalist to get closer to Modi. Viqaruddin has reportedly confessed that he had prepared maps and details of the area and also gathered details about some BJP, RSS leaders and VHP bigwig Shri Praveen Togadia.

It should be mentioned here that there was Rs 5 lakh prize on Viqaruddin who has killed several policemen across the country including one cop Vinay Yadav in Ahmedabad’s Maninagar area. Viqaruddin stayed in Ahmedabad’s Ramol area for long time. He has confessed that Maulana Nasruddin had blessed him and given him five thousands rupees for terror operations. The name of his terrorist organization is Galva-E-Islam. He formed this organization to take revange of police action post Mecca-masjid blast in which 10 rioting Muslims were killed. Viqaruddin was caught last week by Hyderabad Police and his initial interrogation is on. Gujarat Police will bring Viqaruddin to Ahmedabad in near future for investigation.
