More electronic eyes to keep watch in and around Somnath mandir

Gujarat Police is in process to set up 56 more surveillance cameras for security of Shri Somnath mandir. This will make total number of CCTV cameras in Shri Somnath mandir campus to 80.Presently two moving and 21 steady cameras are keeping watch over the visitors.
About a dozen camera technicians are presently active at erection work of new cameras.
New cameras will be capable to capture night vision video. They will also capture audio in 500 meter range.
Everything that happens inside and around the mandir premises will be covered under this huge network of cameras.
Shri Somnath mandir will soon have as as many as 56 new surveillance cameras according to sources in local police.
