Speaking at one-day Sadbhavana fast in Dahod, Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi today said that even Sheila Dikshit said that Modi government is re-elected due to the development it has done in Gujarat. Modi said that Gujarat Congress published a newspaper in which he was praised. Shri Modi added that truth can not be covered for a long time.

Modi declared Rs 1500 crore for development works in Dahod district. This was Modi’s 29th Sadbhavana fast. According to the state govt release, as many as 15,000 people joined fast with Shri Modi.

Shri Modi said, “today Modi kurta fashion is admired in the world, but many years ago one tailor of Dahod had selected such dress for me.”

Coming down heavily on Union Government, he said, “Center’s policy is to “Divide and Rule while our policy is Inclusive Growth-Collective Efforts”.He called upon people to eradicate Vote Bank policy from the political field and said, “If others want to followGujaratin development sector, they should not merely copy us but, first of all, they must adopt the path of peace, harmony and integrity”.

The tremendous development ofGujarathas now become an issue of hot discussion in the country. Gujarat and development have become synonymous to each other andGujarathas emerged as a power surplus state, though it does not have any coalfield. Now a number of tribal students study Medical Science inChinaand take pilot training in countries likeCanadawith Government subsidy.

Shri. Modi while announcing a development package of Rs. 1500 crore for the all round development of Dahod district said“I am the custodian of public exchequer and will not all anybody to misuse it”. The amount will be spentfor building new roads and bridges, housing projects, implementing new water supply and irrigation schemes, strengthening health and education sector, and to develop infrastructural facilities in the district. It may be recalled that the developmental works worth Rs. 1212 crore are in progress in dahod district.

Attributing the development of Gujarat to six crore GujaratisChief Ministersaid, Gujarat’s development was solely based upon unity, harmony, peace and integrity of 6 crore people ofGujarat.Gujaratand development has become the synonymous to each other.Gujarathas adopted the path of peace. Curfew and riots have now become past inGujarat.Gujarathas earned a unique identity in the world.

Shri. Modi said,Gujarathas achieved new heights in development. The tremendous development that has been carried out in Gujarat for the past ten years has not only changed the entire scenario but also changed the mindset of people and that tribal People of backward district like Dahod now do not demand for building new roads or petty loan subsidy from Government, but they ask for four lane roads or paver roads in their district. We have spent million of rupees to provide drinking water to people of Dahod, he added.

Religious leaders from various communities, people from all section of society, sports persons, journalists, physically handicapped and blind children, school children, women-house wives, teenagers, Royal family of Devgadh Baria, Advocates from Dahod District Bar Association, Merchant Association, youngsters and old persons and thousands of tribal people in their traditional dresses met shri. Modi, and extended their strong support towards the noble cause of Sadbhavana Mission Fast. At least 15000 people of the district voluntarily observed Sadabhavana Fast with Chief Minister at the same venueto show their solidarity with CM.

Minister-in-charge Fakirbhai Vagela in his welcome speech said, Gujarat Government’s schemes for tribal community, women, youngsters and rural people have changed the life style of tribal people of Dahod. Minister Jashvantsinh Bhabhor, BJP State President R.C. Faldu, MP Purushottam Rupala, Ex Union Minister Dilipsinh Bhuriya, and Jay Drathsinh Parmar also spoke on the occasion. State Tourism Minister Jitubhai Sukhadia, MP Ramsinh Rathwa and Guardian Secretary Bhagyesh Jha were also present.
