Narendra Modi speaks to media on Gujarat’s innovative engineering miracle(Video)

After inaugurating a canal-top solar power station near Ahmedabad, Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi said that Gujarat has become solar capital of India. While entire country has capacity to generate 120 MW solar power, only Gujarat enjoys 600 MW capacity.
Shri Modi said that on auspicious day of Akshay Trutiya (Akhatrij) we are presenting a unique treasure to farmers.
Modi said he was briefed by engineers that there has been 15-16% more generation of power through canal-top solar panels compare to solar panels on ground.
Shri Modi said that Gujarat is fortunate to have the world’s biggest canal network.
He said, this is not just solar project, but an innovative engineering miracle.
