Ahmedabad, 12 June 2012
You can say it a ‘carpet bombing’ of central government in Ahmedabad.
The Ahmedabad office of Press Information Bureau(PIB) has today sent invitations to media persons to attend a press conference of central ministers P.Chidambaram, Ambika Soni and Salman Khurshid at Ahmedabad Management Association hall on Wednesday(tomorrow).
This is perhaps for the first time happening in recent years in Gujarat that not one or two but three senior central ministers are holding media briefing together.
The press interaction event is believed to be a part of Congress party’s plan to organize regular visits of central ministers in the state in run up to the assembly election 2012.
According to sources, three ministers will brief the media persons on the works completed during first three years of Congress led UPA govt in centre. The ministers will present comparative picture of first three years of UPA-1 and UPA-2.
The ministers will also give details on centre’s assistance to Gujarat in various fields.
During media interaction, various questions pertaining to alleged injustice to Gujarat will pop-up. The session will be truly interesting. The central govt and Gujarat Congress expects vast media coverage of this press meet within Gujarat, especially in vernacular press and TV.
