Keshubhai Patel announces ‘Parivartan package’ of GPP(Video)

Keshubhai Patel, president of newly formed Gujarat Parivartan Party(GPP) today announced the first part of ‘Parivartan package’. Keshubhai clarified that ‘parivartan package’ is not his party’s election manifesto. Major promises announced under the package are listed below:

-Relief of Rs 100 for gas cylinder for home usage per month. 10 subsidized gas cylinders per year.

-30% relief on Value added tax on petrol, diesel and CNG. This would make availability of petrol, diesel and CNG cheaper. In future whenever central government will announce price hike in fuel, the state government will not levy VAT on increased price. Cheaper fuel will have trigger affect on other commodities.

-20% relief on ST bus ticket for all passengers.

-50% relief on ST bus ticket for senior citizens above 65.

-Disable passengers will be allowed to travel for free with one companion in all kinds of ST buses, including express buses.

-30% relief in power bill for residential consumers who use upto 100 unit per month. 25% relief for upto 200 unit, 15% relief for upto 300 unit.

-Life saving drugs will be available in all CHC/PHC for free. All life saving drugs will be completely free from VAT.

-Entry fees levied from visitors in public hospitals will be canceled.

-Present rate of Rs 850 per horse power will be Rs 500 for agriculture sector consumers.

-VAT on all chemical fertilizers will be completely removed.

-Tractors, trailers and pesticides used in agriculture will be completely VAT free. At present 4% VAT is levied.

-All pending applications for power connection in agriculture sector will be cleared in next two years. After clearing the pending applications, all other applications for power connection in agriculture sector will be cleared within 90 days.

-Electricity bills will be issued on horse power basis, and all electricity meters will be removed.

-Farmers will be allowed to operate motors/pumps at more than one location in the limit of total horse power allotted to their agriculture power connection.

-Criminal code 135 used against power theft will be removed, and only fine will be taken.

-When agriculture produce rates go below the support prices, the government will provide support and produce will be purchased at prescribed rates.

-Government employees will not be assigned tasks other than their government duty.

-Fix wages employees will get proper pay. The government has gone to Supreme Court against the High Court decision which was in favor for employees. GPP if elected to power will try for settlement outside the court.

-Anganwadi women, Madhyahan bhojan yojna employees and Asha workers are exploited. They will be paid more.

-A master plan to counter drinking water problem will be put before the people.

-Saline areas will be facilitated by R.O. plants. Each village will be provided potable water through this scheme.

-Maximum use of pipelines to supply Narmada water across the state.

Keshubhai said that when he was in power, he had fulfilled 66% promises in first 100 days. Keshubhai said that his party will get clear majority in the assembly election. Keshubhai and Zadafia said that the total relief they have declared are worth Rs 2700 crore which are practical when the total budget is worth Rs 51000 around.

Keshubhai announced induction of former MPs AK Patel, Ramjibhai Mavani and Ramaben Mavani, and former minister Jashpal Singh and Prabodhkant Pandya in their party. He said his party is in contact with Arvind Kejriwal. When asked about how GPP will manage its expenses, Keshubhai replied that the fund is being raised through donation.

In other development, Gordhan Zadafia led MahaGujarat Janata Party today officially announced merger with Keshubhai Patel led Gujarat Parivartan party.
