Ahmedabad, 18 May 2013

Mahamandleshwar Swami Shri Parmanand Giri Maharaj will perform ground breaking of his disciple Sadhwi Ritambhara’s Vatsalya Gram at central Gujarat’s Mahisa near Dakor on 20th of May, 2013 in presence of Ram kathakar Shri Morari Bapu, Shri Indira betiji and Chief Minister of Gujarat Shri Narendra Modi.

Addressing the media in Ahmedabad today afternoon, Sadhvi Ritambhara who is also know as ‘Didi ma’ said that this is Param Shakti Pith’s first project in Gujarat.

She said the Vatsalya Gram will have 150 houses, but initial plan is to start with 50 houses. The first phase works will be completed within two years.

The Vatsalya gram campus will have hostel, school and primary health center too in future.

Speaking about the project which has seen success in Vrindavan in north India in last 22 years, Sadhvi Ritambhara said that Vatsalya Gram will be a campus where orphan children, abandoned women and helpless old-age people will live together like a family.

She said capable families will send their children to study in the school in Vatsalya Gram campus and pay for it, and deprived children will get the benefit of the income generated from the capable families.

When asked a question on Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as prospective Prime Minister of India, Sadhvi Ritambhara replied: Whatever entire nation wants, saints want, people want shall happen. People are supreme and whatever they wish shall happen.

Sadhvi Ritambhara on concept of Vatsalya Gram

-We provide roof to children of Vatsalya Gram, but for that, we don’t snatch away sky from them. Once they are capable and able to stand on their feet, they do marry, but like a girl in family, they come back and visit Vatsalya Gram.

-Vatsalya Gram is a process of making good people.

-One would not feel content if he/she is just provided worldly objects/things, but will feel supremely satisfied if provided love. Even if we provide every luxury in old-age home, something would stay missing, but if we can successfully form a family in which small children will take care of elderly people, that would make them happy.

-Our one project can’t solve the entire problem on big scale, but our project’s success can surely provide some vision at-least.

-It is very difficult to experiment with people. It is very responsible task too. But we tried the model of co-existence of abandoned women, orphan children and helpless old-age people in one campus and formed family units and we have got success in our earlier project of Vatsalya Gram.

-If thoughts are not quickly translated into action, they die.

-How someone can be ‘anath(orphan) in this land of Pashupatinath where even pashu(animals) had nath(someone to take care of)? Anath(orphan) is not the word that has emerged from our land. We even do ‘Pitru tarpan’ on this land and take care of our parents who are not there in this world any more. How can old-age home can be the product of this country?

-A helpless woman should be made capable of extend help to others, that is one of the motives and works of Vatsalya Grams. We make them Yashodas who can take care of orphan children.
