Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone of ‘Vatsalya Gram’ at Mahisa near Dakor in Kheda district as envisioned by Sadhvi Ritumbhara.
The centre with 150 residential units is being set up under the aegis of Paramshakti Peeth Trust on 2.50-lakh square metre land at Mahisa near the famous temple of Lord Krishna at Dakor.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Modi said the Vatsalya Gram has the potential to be another Vrindavan, as a shelter for the old and infirm, orphans and destitute women. He exuded confidence that Vatsalya Gram over the years becomes an educational centre for orphaned children and women’s economic empowerment centre too, under the guidance of Parmanand Giriji. It also happens to be 150th year of Swami Vivekanand’s birth anniversary.
Mr. Modi complimented Sadhvi for taking up this hugely humanitarian project on the lines of Kaivalya, Santaram and Swaminarayan of Vadtal.
Sadhvi Ritumbhara said that Vatsalya Gram would not only provide shelter, love and affection to those ousted and persecuted by their own family members but would also arrange their visit to pilgrimage centres. Goswami Indirabetiji expected every Gujarati would contribute their might in building Vatsalya Gram.
Gujarat Paramshakti Peeth Chairman Parindu Bhagat (Kakubhai) said the project with built-up area of 2.50-lakh square foot would be completed by May 2015.
Those present on the occasion included Swami Parmanandji, Gujarat’s Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Ramanlal Vora, Avichaldasji Maharaj, other sants and mahants, MLAs and prominent citizens.
