Gandhinagar police have arrested three persons for blackmailing a Swaminarayan sadhu.

According to initial details available, three persons sent a young woman to Swaminarayan sadhu Neelkanthswami of Vishwamangal gurukul, Saij. Later they created sex CD of sadhu and a woman.

As per their plan, they started blackmailing the Sadhu and demanded Rs 50 lakh for not making CD public.

Following this, a police complaint was filed by Gurukul side.

A deal was fixed for Rs 24 lakh. When three persons came to receive money, they were arrested by police.

Police have arrested three blackmailers. The fourth person involved in this is still at large.

Gurukul trustees have removed Neelkanth swami from the institute.

Vishwamangal Gurukul is part of Vadtal branch of Swaminarayan sect. Vadtal branch has been in news in past too for such activities.
