Junagadh: In a unique initiative to spread further awareness on lion conservation, a dayro event dedicated to lions has been organized on 9th March at Visavdar by state forest department.

Gir(West) and Gir(East) units of forest department has invited famous dayro(Gujarati folk music evening) artists Kirtidan Gadhvi, Mayabhai Ahir, Farida Meer, Rajbha Gadhvi and others to this event.

Satadhar laghu mahant Vijaybapu and Champarda Surevdham mahant Muktanandbapu will also grace the event.

Chief Forest Conservator of Junagadh Wildlife circle Dr. AP Singh will preside the event along with all senior officials of forest department and leading local personalities.

The dayro event will involve the tales and songs associated to lions.
