Vadodara: The Indian Army and the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the EME School in Vadodara today to strengthen collaboration in research, development, and academic exchange.
Major General Mohit Gandhi, Commandant of EME School, Vadodara, signed the MoU on behalf of the Indian Army with Prof. Rajat Moona, Director of IIT Gandhinagar, on November 4, 2025. IIT Gandhinagar, in collaboration with the Indian Army and its associated institutes, will assess and work on specific requirements of the Indian Army through innovation, training, internship opportunities, research, capability and knowledge building, resource sharing, certification, technology incubation, and joint projects aimed at meeting operational needs and addressing the Indian Army’s problem statements.
This MoU enables the participation of Army personnel in IIT Gandhinagar’s academic programmes, seminars, webinars, conferences, and workshops on niche technologies and expert interactions, thereby enhancing their technical acumen and innovative mindset.
The collaboration aims to bridge the gap between academic research and real-world operational requirements, ensuring the Army remains technologically agile and self-reliant.
