Narendra Modi to dedicate Ahmedabad’s first two-level flyover

Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi will open Ahmedabad’s first two-level fly over bridge at CTM cross roads on Narol-Naroda road on 29 June, Wednesday(5.45 pm). The flyover has been constructed under JnNURM.
Officials told DeshGujarat that Ahmedabad will become the first city in Gujarat to have a double split and cross flyover. An estimated Rs 42.93 crore have been spent to construct this flyover.
One of the branches of this flyover will lead to Hatkeshwar from CTM crossroads, while the other will take commuters to Ahmedabad-Vadodara express highway. The crss flyover will be a boon for those seeking direct connectivity to the expressway without any traffic snarls. The height of the upper branch of the flyover is around 15 metres while it is eight metres at the lower branch.
Officials further told DeshGujarat that the Chief Minister will also dedicate Danilimda community center(6.05 pm) and newly revamped Juna Vadaj Bus Terminus(6.25 pm) in the city on same day. The Chief Minister will address a public meeting at 6.30 pm near Juna Vadaj Bus Terminus.

I happen to visit this place several times.. in my opinion, there is no need for such two-level fly over.. the bottom most road is NH8 (Narol-Narod Streach) and that’s the one which witnesses the highest traffic. There was a need to raise the NH8 over the intersaction, so that fast moving traffic wouldn’t need to stop at the intersection. But now there won’t be free movement of for majority of traffic including BRTS busses which go on NH8. Still there will be traffic jam at the intersections.. Only few people which will be benified with this bad design..

If we keep harping on constructive criticisms such as made by Shreyas (because he may be pravasi bharatiya) than Guajrat won’t be any better than Delhi or Mumbai or other metros where the road transport network planners are totally disconnected from real problems on the ground and solves the imaginarty problems or half-baked solutions as Shreyas is trying to point out here.
We all continue argue on everything…. This is exactly what our CONGRESS party wants….continue stay divided on everything and criticize everything….

Mumbai is far more vibrant in every respect than Ahmedabad or Surat. Can you tell me even a single aspect in which your Gujju cities score above Mumbai? As for job opportunities in Mumbai, it is the best except for Delhi. So please-don’t exaggarate.

I don’t want to indulge in which city is best. But one thing is that no body in Gujju cities lives like animal who only know work, eat and sleep. And more they know what Narendra Modi is and what he is doing despite of so many lies ….
One thing is that I don’t like Mumbai and you will not like Ahmedabad. We all have different mind set.
