“ill” Uma
Ahmedabad, 8 June 2013
After LK Advani, Uma Bharti, Jaswant Singh, Shatrughan Sinha now Yashwant Sinha. Gopinath Munder, Varun Gandhi, Maneka Gandhi and BC Khanduri are not going to Goa according to reports.
At least two of them – LK Advani and Uma Bharti have given health reasons for their absence. Presented above is over 26 minutes interview of ‘ill’ Uma Bharti. She is laughing and shouting throughout the interview. It is clear that she’s not ill. It is most likely that Advani’s case is ditto same.
But why there’s no TV camera outside Advani’s house seeking his health bulletin? Perhaps because almost everyone is of opinion that it’s political illness. Advani has issued no statement regarding his absence too as of now.
Meanwhile Delhi based journalist Prabhu Chavla today tweeted that Advani is genuinely unwell and can’t travel. He quoted sources and said that Advani ha taken JD(U)’s nod for Modi as campaign chief and not for Prime Ministerial candidate.
However in Goa, BJP leader Rajiv Pratap Rudy today said, “Advani said that if he was feeling better he will take a charter jet and reach Goa. However he is not well today. I called him up personally, he is unwell. Should not draw meaning out of this. He is actually unwell, drawing so many issues out of this is unfair. Actually he is not in a condition to travel. If he feels little well, he would love to be here in Goa. It is absolutely wrong that Advani has written any letter to Rajnath Singh.”
Another party leader Shahnawaz Hussai said, “Advani is unwell that is why he isn’t coming for the meet. No need to infer anything else because of his absence.”
He said, “Congress leaders are scared and it can be seen in their statements that they give.”
