Rs 50 Lakh Cash Stolen from Car near ADC Bank in Ahmedabad

Ahmedabad: A film-style theft of Rs. 50 lakh took place in front of ADC Bank near Maruti Plaza in the city’s Krishnanagar area on Saturday. According to reports, two unidentified men first distracted the driver, while two others broke the car window and fled with a bag containing Rs. 50 lakh in cash.
According to preliminary information, the complainant was on his way to Kothia Hospital with Rs. 50 lakh in cash collected from an Angadiya firm located in Bapunagar. As he approached Maruti Plaza, a biker allegedly hit his car from behind. When the driver got out of the vehicle, an argument broke out between him and the two men riding the bike.
Meanwhile, two unidentified persons wearing helmets arrived on another motorcycle, broke the car window, and escaped with the bag containing Rs. 50 lakh in cash.
Following the incident, a team from Krishnanagar Police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.
ACP Krunal Desai said that the complainant was carrying Rs. 50 lakh in cash from the Angadiya firm when the bikers hit his car, picked a fight with him, and then fled with the cash. He added that the process of registering an FIR in the matter is underway.
He further said that multiple police teams have been deployed to trace and arrest the accused. The suspects are being identified and tracked using CCTV footage, human intelligence, and technical surveillance. Police are hopeful of nabbing the accused soon based on the available evidence.
