Vadodara: Gujarat’s semiconductor and electronics sector has received a major boost under the Gujarat Electronics Policy, with the state government granting in-principle approval to 11 companies for projects involving a total proposed investment of ₹5,712.61 crore. The projects are expected to generate more than 5,400 employment opportunities. As part of the initiative, the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC) also announced that it will establish a chip design centre in Gujarat.

Two key sessions on semiconductor manufacturing and the space-tech ecosystem were organised by the Department of Science and Technology during the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference (VGRC) being held in Vadodara. Industry leaders and global partners from the semiconductor sector held detailed discussions during a session titled ‘From Port to Fab: Building a Resilient Ecosystem for Semiconductor Manufacturing.’

During the event, Minister Arjun Modhwadia announced several MoUs and strategic partnerships with companies in the semiconductor, electronics, and clean energy sectors. C-DAC also announced the establishment of a chip design centre in Gujarat.

The state government has granted in-principle approval to projects proposed by 11 companies, including Rayzon Energy Pvt. Ltd., Goldi Sun Pvt. Ltd., Hispec Chemicals Pvt. Ltd., Greenzo Energy India Pvt. Ltd., Veracity Recycler Pvt. Ltd., Arkel Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., PCB Globe India Pvt. Ltd., HJ Technologies Pvt. Ltd., and Immunity Networks and Technologies Pvt. Ltd. The total proposed investment under these projects is ₹5,712.61 crore, and they are expected to create more than 5,400 jobs.

Meanwhile, the Common Testing Facility (CTF) has been approved by the Department of Space (DoS). An agreement was signed between the Gujarat government’s Department of Science and Technology and IN-SPACe on June 10, 2026, to operationalise the facility.

Under the Gujarat Spacetech Policy, the Technical Advisory Committee has also recommended five Gujarat-based space-tech companies, Azista, PierSight, SpanTrik, Bharat Space Vehicle, and ULEO Space (Orbit) for support under the policy. DeshGujarat
