Water Level Situation in Major Dams Across Gujarat on July 1; Sardar Sarovar 64% Full

Gandhinagar: Presented below is the status of water storage in some of the important reservoirs across Gujarat as of 12 noon today, July 1, 2026, as the state continues to witness a delayed monsoon.

As per the latest data available at 12 noon, the Sardar Sarovar Dam, Gujarat’s largest dam, has a present gross storage of 6,062.33 million cubic metres (MCM), equivalent to 64.08% of its design capacity. The dam is witnessing an inflow of 16,518 cusecs, while more than 18,700 cusecs is being discharged into the Narmada Canal and around 600 cusecs is being released into the downstream river.

Ukai, the state’s second-largest dam, has a present gross storage of 2,552.93 MCM, which is 34.43% of its full capacity.

Kadana Dam has a present gross storage of 592.39 MCM and is 47.42% full. It is currently witnessing an inflow of around 320 cusecs from upstream areas. Meanwhile, Panam Dam has a present gross storage of 321.38 MCM, which is 55.58% of its full capacity.

Shetrunji Dam in Bhavnagar, the largest reservoir in the Saurashtra region, is currently 46.23% full, with a present gross storage of 160.19 MCM. DeshGujarat
