May 19, 2026
Ahmedabad: Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited on Monday announced plans to invest up to ₹100 crore in Shanku’s Water Park near Ahmedabad, marking the company’s entry into Gujarat’s growing leisure and tourism sector.
The investment will be made through Mehsana Next Parks Private Limited (MNPPL), the special purpose vehicle that will own and manage Shanku’s Water Park in Mehsana. The transaction includes a mix of equity investment and debt funding, along with additional capital earmarked for future expansion and development of new attractions.
Spread across more than 25 acres, Shanku’s Water Park is regarded as one of Gujarat’s largest water park destinations and features over 25 rides and attractions. The park draws visitors from Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Mehsana, and nearby regions.
Under the agreement, Imagicaaworld will oversee the park’s operations and management, including guest services, safety standards, food and beverage operations, and revenue enhancement initiatives. The company is expected to earn management fees ranging between 6 per cent and 10 per cent under the arrangement.
Commenting on the development, Jai Malpani, Managing Director of Imagicaaworld Entertainment Limited, said Gujarat presents strong long-term opportunities for organised entertainment and leisure businesses, driven by increasing discretionary spending and a growing consumer base.
He added that Shanku’s Water Park, located near Ahmedabad and GIFT City, is strategically positioned to benefit from expanding commercial activity and rising weekend tourism demand.
“Through this partnership structure, we aim to leverage Imagicaaworld’s operational expertise and brand capabilities to further enhance guest experiences, drive footfalls and create long-term value for all stakeholders,” Malpani added. DeshGujarat
