Three GUJCTOC Accused from Cattle Theft and Slaughter Gang Held

Vadodara: Three members of an alleged organised cattle theft and slaughter syndicate, booked under the Gujarat Control of Terrorism and Organised Crime (GUJCTOC) Act, have been remanded to police custody till July 4 to facilitate an investigation into their financial transactions and assets.

The case, registered at the Godhra B Division Police Station, pertains to an organised gang allegedly involved in cattle theft and slaughter in Panchmahal and Dahod districts. According to the police, the syndicate had also opened a bank account near the Madhya Pradesh border in Dahod, prompting investigators to probe its financial network and suspected illegal assets.

The accused include Imtiaz Abdul Hameed Surti alias Bhopali, Almas Qasim Mitha alias Allu Boy, Salman Yamin Hasan alias Kankatto, Mohsin Siddique Waska alias Mohsin Pauwa, Sufyan alias Atadiyo Mehbub Khan Pathan, and Ruhul Amin Abdul Razzaq Durvesh, all residents of Godhra. A GUJCTOC case was registered against them at the Godhra B Division Police Station on June 15.

Of the accused, Salman Yamin Hasan and another accused, Ahmed Hussain, are already in police custody till June 30. The remaining three accused, Ruhul Amin Abdul Razzaq Durvesh (40), Imtiaz Abdul Hameed Surti (38), and Almas Qasim Mitha alias Allu Boy (23), were brought to Godhra on transfer warrants.

The three were produced before the special court on Wednesday, where the investigating officer sought their custodial interrogation to probe the gang’s financial dealings and properties.
